Have I been confirmed?! William Thursday, March 31, 2005

Question:

I've been teased by a number of my friends lately about my very strange confirmation.
1) The Bishop never came
2) The priest never came near me; he did not lay his hands on me or draw the christi on me.

Question Answered by Mr. Jacob Slavek

Dear William,

Sounds like you are not describing actual Confirmation, but rather a welcoming rite for those preparing for the sacrament.

Based on what you've said I'd at least be very concerned and make an appointment so I could talk with a priest face-to-face about my case.

I hope all is well,

Mr. Slavek
