Archdiocese requirements? Marie Thursday, October 20, 2011

Question:

I am not certain what is appropriate to place on the site, so I will be brief. An unholy presence has been revealed in a residence of someone dear to me. Physical harm from an unseen force has not taken place, yet. It has been quite successful working cunningly upon inhabitants hidden in the background. But, it has manifested, and has attempted benign presentations after suspicians of something negative came to light. In its’ proud attempts, it revealed a beastly tone and lack of reverence to God.

We did get the courage to ask our local parish to provide a house blessing, and it was done. However, we are not at ease. A Catholic priest in another parish that has offered to help; the Bishop’s referral is required. We have made a request for our local parish Reverand to obtain a referral to the Archdiocese for intercession. We have not received a response from the Reverand yet. He does not deny manifestations and the reality of spiritual warfare; But we have heard that the need for intercession is often an issue within various Archdioceses.

Do you know what is required to receive council and assistance?

Question Answered by Bro. Ignatius Mary, OMSM(r)

Dear Marie:

House blessings and such do not require the permission of a Bishop, but since this is a possible demonic issue the specific bishop may have required from his priests certain procedures. Bishops have the power to make policy and regulations on such matters.

If the regular House Blessing has not given relief, I would recommend the more extensive House blessing and cleansing that includes a house cleansing from the 17th century. This can be found in our Spiritual Warfare Prayer Catalog linked below. The direct url is: House Cleansing and Blessing. This blessing can be said by the priest or the by you or by the residents of the house. I am also willing to lead the cleansing and blessing over the phone while the people do the physical things, such as blessing each room with Holy Water, Holy Salt, and a blessed Benedictine medal.

It is also important that the residents of the house get their lives in order to be the best Christians they can be. Demons will hang on if there are any inappropriate behaviors on the part of the residents of the house, or they are not devout Christians. I would recommend to them the Seven Steps to Self-Deliverance.

In the Catalog there are other prayers that will be useful, such as the Hedge Prayers of Protection for a Household and the Rebuking Particular Spirits.

If we can be of any other help, let us know.

We will be praying for your friend and your friend's household.

God Bless,
Bro. Ignatius Mary
