Question: Dear Brother Ignatius Mary: I am working on a book for alcoholics and addicts based on the Devotion of Divine Mercy with permission from the Marians of Immaculate Conception in Stockbridge, MA. When I spoke with them the lady on the phone she warned me that the Evil One was going to cause me trouble. NO KIDDING! She reminded me what St. Faustina says in (Diary 1583) that Satan hates God’s Mercy. During the time I have been working on this project, I encountered numerous attacks on my computer. I had never experienced anything like this before. Here is what happened: I lost important chapters on spiritual warfare. To make a long story short, I had to get a DELL technician involved. They downloaded software to help me find the work I had lost. The tech was baffled and said he had to get a supervisor who was an expert involved because of what he found. The supervisor called me and couldn’t exactly explain what happened since he had never seen this happen before. He told me that the documents were in the hard drive but that it would be impossible to retrieve them since they had been translated in various ancient languages (Hebrew, Arabic and others.) Furthermore, the words were all thrown into a melting pot and the document would have to be in one language alone to translate back to English. He said some of the words in the sentences were in Hebrew and Arabic, Hebrew and Arabic. The DELL Expert was stomped! I really needed these chapters since they were the ones the whole book were be referring to and I had no hardcopy. It would have taken me weeks to reconstruct them with all the resources I had already researched. The DELL Expert in India apologized but said he could not help and that I would not be charged a fee. (Really!) The following week a gentleman who travels the country with his healing ministry came to my parish. He spoke about demonic intervention and spiritual warfare. Something told me to speak with him about my computer. He asked me to bring it with me the following morning. We placed it underneath the Tabernacle during the healing service. After the service he prayed over my laptop and did an exorcism prayer. People were watching and trying to figure out what we were doing. To make a long story short – I went home, turned on the laptop. I called DELL and I spoke with the “expert” who was frustrated with me because he had already tried everything. I gave him permission to access my computer. He called back within the hour COMPLETELY BEWILDERED! He was able to retrieve the documents I had lost IN ENGLISH! He said, “Lady what did you do?” To which I replied, “I took my computer to a healing service and it was prayed over!” The DELL tech was complete silent. I thanked him for his help and hung up. So, Brother Ignatius Mary – what do you think of this episode. I am diligently working on my book now to get it completed to send to the Marians in Stockbridge. My computer is starting to be attacked again. Furthermore, my antivirus software has warned me several times that hackers have tried to get in. So my computer is being targeted. Any suggestions on how I can protect my computer? I pasted a St. Benedict medal by the keyboard. I have a small statue of St. Michael on the corner of my desk. I sprinkle holy water in my study before working. . .what else can I do other than wish for the best? How you ever heard of this before? Sylvia

Since I have been in deliverance ministry I have had four or fice computers blow up on me and I have had so many problems with hardware and software that, like in your case, the technicians are bewildered. If you do the work of God, especially if you do something significant for God, the devil will try to stop you. Messing with computers seems to be a favorite target of 'ol scratch. Many years ago I wrote an essay called, Three Secret Strategies of Satan. This is an essay that Satan really did not like. I think the reason for that is because I exposed the three basic strategies Satan uses to destroy our families, children, church, and our society. I exposed Satan's underbelly. I believe that virtually all the problems we see in our society, and in our church, can be distilled down to one or more of these three strategies. Within 24 hours after I conceived of this essay all hell broke loose – literally. One of the postulates we had at the time began to slander me in our organization very seriously. The results of her slanders caused us to lose several members and who knows how much in donations. After several weeks of this the woman contacted me and apologized and said that demons had told her to do this. She explained that she had already had one church approved exorcism and she thought she was going to have to have another you. When this woman stopped her slanders another woman took her place. It was clear that I was being attacked by a Jezebel spirit. This went on for more than one and a half years. Even some very famous Catholics got involved in the slander against me. Because of all the distraction I was not able to finish the essay until all that calm down. Finally, I finished the essay. People who are on our mail list were anxious to read the essay or I told them about it. I finished the essay around midnight and uploaded to the server, and then I notified everyone on our mail list. I went to bed. Next morning my mailbox contained e-mails from some of our constituents who said that the essay was not on the server. I checked and indeed the essay had disappeared. So I re-upload it to the server. This time it did not disappear, but people began to e-mail me saying that when they tried to print out the essay their printers broke. One first sprinter was brand-new. Satan did not like this essay and I paid for it big time. What I had to start doing was to bless with holy water the computer on a regular basis. I've had to do that on the telephone as well for Satan has tried to interfere with telephone connection. One time I was talking on the phone with my associate director, Joe Meineke, when suddenly there was static on the phone just like you see in the horror movies. I've heard nothing but static, but Joe heard a voice say, "He must die," referring to me. Is there a but other times both in talking with Joe about a case and even when talking with the client that the phone would suddenly disconnect for no reason. It was only when blessing the phone with holy water that the interruption stopped. Blessing your computer or your telephone when I absolutely guarantee that your equipment will not be attacked by Satan, it may stave off many attacks. When you bless an electronic device by holy water be careful. You do not wish to short-circuit the electronics. So bless the item with holy water in a way that will not dampen any electrical connections. I also offer the following prayer which I will also place in the Spiritual Warfare Prayer Catalog: First, this is the official blessing of the Church for the Tools or Other Equipment for Work. Laity are permitted to pray this blessing with some modifications. Command it in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ to depart from my property and from this household/workplace, immediately, quietly, and without harm to anyone. I bring the power and the protection of the blood of our Lord Jesus Christ over this equipment and this household/workplace. Satan has no part with the work I do for You, Lord, in using this ________ for Your Glory. I seal this ________ and my housedold/workplace with the saving blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. Heavenly Father, forgive me for not being all we should be in Your eyes. Let the cleansing, healing waters of my baptism wash over me, this household/workplace, and cleanse us from all unrighteousness and bless the work I do with this ________.
