defending Hindu gods/godesses Sajith Saturday, November 21, 2015

Question:

I am from kerala ,India where people(for that matter nowadays Christians are more using their service ) a heavily use he help of Hindu gods/godesses to do harm against people and it is effective too ,where people get the items like drinks/things which they give to enemies which would cause them trouble .

My question is , if there is no other god than our father ,who are these hindu gods/godesses who can do visible things .If they are gods how can we classify them under cursed spirits/demons ?how to handle these kind of forces (for Eg: Kaali /vishnumaya kuttichathan (as per hindus son of siva) . If they are not demons how exorcism will work on them ?How can we identify whether a food/drink is infected with a spell/curse ?

Thanks
Sajith

Dear Sajith:

There is only one God, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. All other entities who claim to be god are frauds. Any spirit other than the Holy Spirit who claims to be a god is a demon.

How we handle these demonic spirits in Hinduism is to preach the Gospel, the Truth of the true God, to the people. In this way we can move these people away from these false gods. Conversion to Christ is the solution.

As far as people being cursed, the solution is to live the best Christian life one can and pray spiritual warfare prayers — such as the Hedge Prayer of Protection and the Breaking Curses and Spells prayers found in the Spiritual Warfare Prayer Catalog, linked below.

Exorcism is a rite for people who are possessed by evil spirits. There is also an exorcism for a house (see the House Cleansing and Blessing). To pray about the culture you have in India, ask God to bring the Holy Spirit down upon your culture to heal it and to bring it to the knowledge of truth.

In terms of cursed food, it is best to not accept food from those who would curse you. Beyond that, be sure to bless your food and drink before eating it. St. Benedict was saved from death when he blessed a cup of wine that was poisoned. When he blessed it the cup shattered into pieces saving his life.

When you bless you food/drink it will dispel any curse and make the food good to eat.

We will pray for you and for India.

God Bless,
Bro. Ignatius Mary
