Is my family safe when performing a self-deliverance? Marie Saturday, January 16, 2016

Question:

My wife is struggling with demon oppression. We are both born and raised roman catholic, but have not practicing. We are now full believers and returning to church for the first time in decades.

Back in November my wife and I went to a Psychic. We thought it was be fun, and something to laugh about afterwords. Neither of us were expecting what came out of it. She had told us very specific things that she could not have possibly known about a friend whom departed years ago. She had also mentioned that my wife had two spirits with her; both of which we believed to be friendly.

My wife's interest spiked. She had begun to see "orbs", some of which came with her when leaving the house. At first she would capture them with a camera, and over time she could sometimes see it without a camera.

She began trying to communicate with the "spirit" with a pendulum. She was given the impression that she was communicating with her "spirit guide". Unsure about the whole thing, we went to the church. By the statue of saint Anthony she saw "millions of sparkles", and heard "bells". She reached out to someone online who was more experienced with spirit communication. We were told that the sparkles were archangels. She began to see them at home, and believed they were there to protect her so that she could safely communicate with her spirit guide without harm from unwanted entities. Throughout this entire time, she said she had a strong feeling of love and safety. She truely believed she was given a gift, and that god wanted this.

This continued for about a week and then suddenly stopped. No sparkles, no orbs or spirit guides. Instead she now sees an entity which she can only describe as "the air moving", like heat waves. Sometimes, white, black, or red "sparks" within it. It can "touch" her which feels like electricity. She has an overwhelmingly bad feeling from this, and says that she knows it is not good.

She attempted to communicate with it using the pendulum, and does not feel this is the same spirit she has been talking to. This one has expressed that it intends to cause harm.

When she tries to fall asleep at night, she can feel it touching her. She is disturbed by it flashing images in her mind, and is woken up several times during the night. Several of which she says it was trying to enter her.

She has ceased all forms of communication, and now realizes that this was a trick from the beginning. With the help of this site, as well as other online sources, we realize now what is going on and are looking for help.

We believe she needs help with a deliverance. We are afraid to attempt a self deliverance, because we don't want it to attempt to go after our 2 year old son. On the other hand she is afraid to fall asleep. What can we do to protect our son when attempting a deliverance.?

Other information that may be useful.
- Whenever around "spirits" she gets pressure in her ears and a headache.
- Whenever she communicated she would have to burp a lot afterwords.
- She has also had a cough which came on as this manifested.
- She has said that the bed shakes lightly sometimes. I myself have noticed this twice.

Please help us! thank you.

Question Answered by Bro. Ignatius Mary, OMSM(r), LTh, DD

Dear Marie:

I praise God that you have come to realize the errors of your ways. What you need to do now is to live the best Catholic life you can in the Sacraments, prayer, bible study, devotions, etc.

I recommend you follow the Seven Steps to Self-Deliverance, linked below. If that does not bring relief then you can ask for formal deliverance counseling at the HELP link provided below.

Either way, it is possible that your son can be attacked. Be not afraid. If that happens there are things we can do to combat those attacks. There are also prayers of protection, found in our Prayer Catalog, linked below. All deliverance should begin with prayers of protection.

If you are uncomfortable with the self-help, then you can go ahead and ask for formal counseling, or ask for a consultation on how to proceed on your own. The One-Time Appointments and the Help Request for formal counseling both located at the HELP link below.

God Bless,
Bro. Ignatius Mary
