Question:

When I was a child, probably around 8 years old or so, I enjoyed fairy tales. Everyone told me they were make believe, and they never took it seriously. I saved up my money and bought "The Wizard of OZ" not knowing that wizards are supposed to be enjoying the idea of wizards because they were supposedly in league with the devil. To make a long story short, I ate a raw chicken heart, thinking I would turn into a princess.

After all these years, nothing happened that I can say was scary. I now know that children do foolish things dprobably are protected by God from demonic problems if they don't know what they are doing.

What do you think of books like THE WIZARD OF OZ?

Dear Anne:

I presume the book is the same story as the movie? I have not read the book, but if you remember, in the movie the "wizard" was not a real wizard. He used mechanical devices to give the illusion that he was a wizard.

As far as children doing foolish things, it is not uncommon, especially for girls, to dabble with occult games of various sorts. Most of the time nothing happens, but there is no guarantee for that.

There are many reports of demonic manifestations when kids play the Ouija board. It scares them silly and usually they never play it again.

Satan, however, is no respecter of persons. Even though the kids are "innocently" dabbling and playing in Satan's sandbox, there are some kids who are effected with demonic attachments and harassments. In some cases, this demonization may continue into adulthood. Some of these end up contacting us for help.

The parents have a responsibility to teach their kids not to mess with anything occultic, no matter how "innocent" it may appear. The lack of parental diligence is a major source of why come kids have demonic attachments for decades to come.

God Bless,
Bro. Ignatius Mary
