Question: I have been having a recurrent dream. In my dream, i am in a church, i am standing at the back looking down the aisle and then i hear laughter, i turn around and satan is there, he is disgusting (look wise). I am scared and i try to run, but i am stuck, i cant move, i cry out in a loud voice, "Jesus, help me!" I look to the Altar and there is a nun telling me to run, i do so, as i reach the Altar, satan grabs me and then St Michael appears, wings, sword and all and shouts "NO!" pointing His sword at satan. His wings then surround me and then i wake up! This is really starting to upset me...what could this mean? Recently i have been defending our Church and Faith through the web....could satan be annoyed with me? Or am i just going crazy! Any help or advice on this would be greatly appreciated. Question Answered by Bro. Ignatius Mary, OLSM Dear Angela: I think your dream is wonderful. You are privelged to experience the the protection of St. Michael's protective wings. The cause of the dream could be just the normal dream process that we all have, this dream sourced in the fact that you are working in defening the faith. Or, the dream could be the devil messing with you. Either way, you are doing God's work. Keep it up. If the devil is messing with you, then you know you are doing a good job. What you can try in terms of getting rid of the dreams is to pray before going to bed, including the Bedtime Prayer of Protection found in our Catalog linked below, wear a St. Benedict medal to bed, bless yourself with Holy Water and know that the devil is already defeated.
