Question: For 25 years I was away from the church. I returned 8 years ago. Since I returned, there has been a presence which is attached to my person. This presence moves over my person and tries to push its way inside of me. It's very unsettling. This stops me from sleeping at night. Many nights I've sit up crying asking God what this is and to take it away. I frequent the sacraments and go to church every week. I have a regular prayer life. I don't understand what is happening and why. Could this be from my past life? If it is how can I gain freedom and a good nights sleep. This is starting to affect my day to day life as I cannot get a good night's sleep. Why would God allow something like this to happen to me? I had a long struggle to get back to my catholic faith and I am so happy to be where I belong. No one I talk to knows what this is. Can you help, please.
Question Answered by Bro. Ignatius Mary, OLSM Dear Marie: Well, based on your description, and assuming there is no psychological issues, it sounds like you are being demonically harassed. You are doing all the things that you should be doing to get rid of this, but the problem may be deeper than what you can do by yourself. The 7 Steps to Self-Deliverance should always be tried, but there are times when a third-party Deliverance Counselor may be needed. Continue with your prayers and devotions, check out the 7 Steps for Self-Deliverance, and also check out the Spiritual Warfare Prayer Catalog and pray applicable prayers from it. Dear Marie:

Well, based on your description, and assuming there is no psychological issues, it sounds like you are being demonically harassed.
