Question:

Hello and God bless you,

First, I want to thank you for answering promptly my previous questions. This site is great and more!!!

I just read about a wicca who gave a kind of love potion to a man and they eventually got married. The person who did not know love potion/spell worked is now worried.

The thing is that I am involved in a relationship (strictly platonic) with a man who has probably consumed something or more things like that one. I have had several demonic attacks since I started praying for him. He is still with that scary looking woman even though when I felt tired of everything (not praying) and did not want to see him for more than a month he was depressed and started drinking.

Can my prayers (deliverance, rebuking..,hedge of protection) help him get free or is it possible that magick ,to which he is constantly exposed, is stronger than my prayers?

What else can I do for him? I cannot tell him exactly what is going on because he does not think (still) those things are possible although he is a bit shaken because he has spotted some unusual things in his house but he thinks it is a friendly ghost etc.

Is it wise to pay a mass to be said for him. I hope you understand me as I am not native and I may not be using the proper words/ forms concerning religion.

Thank you in advance and may God always be at your side!!!

Question Answered by Bro. Ignatius Mary, OLSM

Dear Constance:

The devil's magick is NEVER more powerful than prayers to God. God is all powerful.

What you can do for him is to pray for him. If he will listen you might try to explain the problems with having a relationship with a witch and the consequences of spells she might cast. But, if he does not believe in such things and is not willing to consider these possibilities all you can do is to pray for him -- that he will come to understand these issues and take action.

Your prayers of deliverance, rebuking, and hedge of protection will have limited effect since he must take responsibility for himself. God will not intrude upon his free will. He cannot be delivered against his will. The man himself should be praying these prayers.

You can pray on his behalf and should, but the man will make his own decisions. If he does not decide to acknowledge the truth about these things and take action, then it is unlikely he will be delivered from them. But, your prayers may help him to eventually acknowledge the truth and to take the appropriate action.

Having a Mass said for him is an excellent idea.

While God will not intrude upon his free will, God is a mighty persuader. Continue to pray for him in hopes that he will be persuaded someday.

God Bless,
Bro. Ignatius Mary
