ISince my mother passed away it's like i can't get anyone to take me seriously on the subject of the spiritual realm. And i truly need advice as to what i am meant to do.

I will explain now. Ever since i was a child, i have been able to see and sometimes hear) the spirit world. I see evil spirits far more often than good, and it's not pleasant. However I am not sure what the visions, or sightings, mean, and what I am supposed to do with them. My mother always said i had a gift for seeing these visions, but my aunt and uncle tell me that"every good and perfect gift comes from God" and since these visions are frightening, they are from the devil. i honestly do not know which is the truth.

Since i am older i see less, and hear less, but they are still there because just last month i had 2 sightings and a very disturbing dream, all in my own house!

Among the things I've seen and heard are visions and dreams of thing in the future (such as deaths or major crises, even world ones), three knocks when a death or disaster is near, visions of demons, and one or two angels, and most frightening of all, visions and dreams of horrible, demonic birds (ie ravens with firey eyes).

I have read a little into demonology and seen some of the causes for haunting, possession, and opression. As a very small child, I prayed to the devil. I do not know what caused the idea to enter my head, but i did regularly for at least, i think a year; maybe between 3 and 4. My aunt is a counselor and says that a child so young could not have reasoned well enough to pray to satan, but i know what i did.

Also, around this time, a demon-woman would come sit beside my bed at night. Her skin and hair were gray, and she terrified me. I would lay there trembling, unable to move or scream. She seemed to talk and/ or sing to me, but i cannot remember what she might have said.

In conclusion to this odd posting, i do not know whether my prayers to Satan could have opened a door and some spirits just latched on and followed me around, or whether it as my mother said: a gift. One thing is for certain: it's real and not imagined.

I wish i at least knew what these things mean, or whether i should be praying against them and for God to take them away, or paying attention because they are some kind of prophecy.

For the record, my mother, g-ma, and great g-ma all had prophetic dreams and visions as well. I am a Christian, and come from Christian family.
