Question: Bro.Ignatius, you have graciously answered questions from me in the past, hope you do not mind another. I am sure everyone is familiar w/ the famous Magician,Harry Houdini who was very popular in the 20's. After his mother died, he got into spirtisim to prove them 'phonies' and after his own death on 'Hallowen' l926, his own widow,Bess tried to 'contact' him for about 10yrs. finally giving up and stated'Harry isn't coming back'. Some devoted fans/magicians,continued trying to contact him up until l1996,wouldn't this have been a grand opportunity forspirits/demons to put in an 'appearance'. We hear so much about the dangers of seances and ouija bds, (which I personally believe are 'dangersous) so, can you 'shed' some light on this for me? My point being that'nothing' ever came of the seances/sessions. thanks,J.M.

Any spirit claiming to be Houdini would have been a demon There are many reasons why demons may not have used this as an opportunity. One, demons like to remain in shadows. The devil depends upon our society doubting his existence. If there had been a dramatic manifestation at the séances for Houdini that was provable that would have hit international news. That is not in the shadows. Second, God may not have allowed demons to manifest because if they had in such a famous case it might have promoted occult activities. Third, who knows? Some people can flirt with these things and have nothing happen (other than damaging their soul by the very fact of sinning), others can flirt once and become possessed. Evil is arbitrary.
