Question: I have started reading the bible more and praying more and learning a lot more about my faith recently. I sometimes get ghastly images coming to me. Things that I could never do and can not even speak of doing. Is is possible that the Devil is sending these images to me? I usually start to pray very intensely when this happens and they fade away.

Othertimes it can be a demonic attack designed to distract us from getting what we are doing that will bring us closer to God. I would advise praying a prayer of protection and a prayer to control thoughts. Take a look at the prayers in our Catalog linked below, especially the "Prayer to Control Thoughts". Also, when these thoughts come say outloud if you can "STOP: I reject these thoughts that are not from God." "I accept only thoughts that are pleasing to God." It is important to say this outloud unless you at a place where that is not possible, then say them silently to yourself. Try that and see if that helps. God Bless, Bro.
