Question: For the last 20+ years there is this strange pattern in my employment. I do well, am well liked and then I run afoul of an influential woman and bam - I'm out the door. It's had me scratching my head and over analyzing for years. Yesterday brought it all into sharp focus: I'm working a temp job - my family is desperate. Assigned to a perfect project, blowing everyone away. Unfortunately, my assignment didn't go through the supervisor but came from way up the food chain (I don't know who submitted my name). I've been blowing people away with my work product. Friday, a manager (not mine) tells me not to worry about a thing, they'll make sure I'm taken care of and she sets a meeting for Tuesday they were supposed to hold a meeting to make me permanent, people had lined up a vice president in my corner and everything. Sounds like a sure thing; no? Monday, a manager in my office kind of throws a cold bucket on it. On Tuesday, I have two Masses said and two priests praying for me along with a couple of prayer groups that this job will come through. Now, tell me that this doesn't sound like some sort of curse backlash! In sequence: 1. I'm told I've done such a good job that they're creating a permanent position doing exactly the job description I've written for myself only its 3,000 miles away. 2. I'm to be taken off of the project on 48-hour notice. 3. I'll be doing a meaningless, mind-killing project for a couple of additional weeks and then they'll end my assignment. 4. A Stop Work order is issued on my Federal project. Something that's only happened to us once before. 5. I get home and my electricity has been turned off. No one seems to have seen a notice, just bam! Yes, we end up spending the night without power. I've never asked so much prayer to be harnessed on my employment before - but never seen such a backlash either. I despair.

Rather, remember that God promises that ... Rom 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. God is not a liar. He keeps His promises and He promises that He will make lemonade out of the lemons in our life. He will bring good out of evil. You must trust in God. As for the situation itself all this may be just the trials of life -- office politics, and coincidence. Curses are possible; they do happen. The question would be who has the motivation to want to curse you? Question:

I am sorry you are having these troubles. The primary issue is your statement, "I despair." To despair is to place your soul in danger. Rather, remember that God promises that ...

Rom 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.

God is not a liar. He keeps His promises and He promises that He will make lemonade out of the lemons in our life. He will bring good out of evil. You must trust in God.

As for the situation itself all this may be just the trials of life -- office politics, and coincidence.

Curses are possible; they do happen. The question would be who has the motivation to want to curse you?
