Question: In your years of experience with spiritual warfare, do you find that this time is a time of increased warfare and attacks from evil? It seems to me that good people everywhere are suffering terribly right now.
Question Answered by Bro. Ignatius Mary, OLSM Dear Mary: There have been many periods of warfare and attacks from the Enemy. We seem to be in one of those cycles now. Pope Leo XIII told us that the devil would increase over the century. He certainly has done that. But, for those who might be thinking of the "end times" when we talk about this, we must be careful in correlating this time of troubles to a sign of the end of the world and the Second Coming of Christ. We must remember that Christ said there would be wars and rumors of wars but the end will not be yet. These times of trials and suffering are actually an opportunity for our faith to grow and strengthen. Throughout history the Church has become stronger in times of persecution. Dear Mary:

There have been many periods of warfare and attacks from the Enemy. We seem to be in one of those cycles now. Pope Leo XIII told us that the devil would increase over the century. He certainly has done that.
