Question Title Posted By Question Date
Should I continue the deliverance prayers alone? Liz Tuesday, September 16, 2008

Question:

Good day to you
Thank you very much for your website. I am learning a lot from the discussions and the q and a. Please help me with this problem.

I have some relatives who practice witchcraft /black magic. A few years ago the one of them lost his job and home, so my parents took him in and offered my bedroom as I was working out of town. He started causing problems for my parents and after a few weeks he left but he mentioned that he had left some ‘items’ at our house and that we would all die within that year – that did not happen and we did not notice anything strange at the time.

We are catholic and have always believed in God’s protection.
In their witchcraft practices (I am not sure this happens in the west) these people ‘feed’ their victims in their dreams and whatever is fed to the victim causes all sorts of problems. I never believed I would be affected by such practices but after I moved back into my room months later, I started to have these ‘eating’ dreams and when I woke up I would feel something stuck in my throat. I prayed for protection and on nights when I was too tired to pray I'd have the dreams again.

I've had a few problems which I suspect have been caused by the influence of evil. Over the years that followed I have tried to seek spiritual deliverance. My friends (most of them Protestants) invited me to their different Pentecostal churches where people who’ve had the same eating experiences had been delivered. The ministers would pray over them and they would throw up all sorts of weird things. I did not feel very comfortable with that so I did not go.

I stumbled across this website last week and went through the 7 steps of self deliverance. I have been praying the hedge protection prayers and the prayers to break curses from the prayer catalogue since last week.

This morning as I was praying I felt that ‘thing’ rise in my throat (that had not happened in a long time). This is where I need some help and guidance. I am not sure if I should continue alone. If I do throw up something ‘weird ‘ I have no idea what to do, and to be honest I am quite scared now. I'm trying to say my evening prayers and it’s moving up again. It does not disrupt my breathing or eating in any way but it certainly is not imaginary. I would appreciate your advice on this.

Thank you very much.

Question Answered by Bro. Ignatius Mary, OLSM

Dear Liz:

Well, it is sometimes true that demons are expelled through vomitis. Frankly, the next time you feel like vomiting I would go ahead and do it. It could be an expulsion of a demon.

Continue in your prayers. Portion of the Seven Steps can be repeated if necessary. The appropriate prayers in the Catalog should be prayed. Do not forget to pray the Rebuking prayer whenever you discern the presence of a demon (identified by his attribute, such as the spirit of lust, anger, bitterness, fear, etc.).

If the self-help prayers do not help over time then you may want to contact us for help (once we are open for new clients).

In the meantime, we will be praying for you.

God Bless,
Bro. Ignatius Mary
