Question: Have you heard of the Desteni Project that is of South Africa by Bernard Poolman (sorry delete name if I am not supposed to use it). There are some members of this "project" that have youtube accounts to spread their message for world-environmental and financial reform. Self-proclaimed atheists, they use channeling of spirits and demons (demons by their own admittance)to draw people in--they channel everyone from Hitler, Marylin Monroe to Mother Teresa and Jesus Himself. Demons and really silly inanimate objects are also "channeled". It is all SO illogical since they say they are atheists. Please find out about this--It needs to be exposed because they mix some good ideas with some very dangerous ones. Through the illogic of it, it is possible to become clouded in your thinking--so the best thing for people is to NOT engage in debate with them They have a way of getting under your skin. With internet, they plan to reach alot of people. I became a random target of a person involved in the cult and I thought I was above becoming confused by their illogical ramblings. After several times of listening to these videos I became angry at the person sending them. I exchanged angry debate with the one trying to "help me become honest with myself" (they call the process of stripping yourself of cultural norms of marital vows and family and religion "self-honesty") To sum it up, because I was not willing to "complete the process of self-honesty" and pushed them away, I was called an inferior person enslaved by my systems, a robot of society. What makes me angry is they say they have NO responsibility for brainwashing people, because the person undergoes THEIR OWN PROCESS of SELF-HONESTY. Today I have no contact with it, but I am scared and confused in my thinking. I KNOW it didn't make sense, but it bothers me still. Their words echo in me and accuse me, and I become anxious and ashamed of myself.

There is no need to listen to more than that because they are such a wacko group with false philosophies that it is as obvious as 20 foot neon sign. The whole trans-dimensional communication is just another word for channeling and necromancy. Their statements about demons is laughable. Their idea of Self-Honesty is ridiculous. There is not s single honest thing about them. They have nothing good to say. Do not fall into that trap. One of the primary way Satan works is to surround a grain of truth with a whole lot of garbage. Then people will see the small little grain of truth and presume all the garbage surrounding it is true too. It is best to dismiss this group completely, lock, stock, and barrel, as the old saying goes. All this and more can be seen by listening to them for less than 2 minutes. The bible says that we are to be on guard for Satan's schemes. This cult is so obviously teaching doctrine of demons that one does not need to be too much on guard to see it. It is readily obvious in the first five seconds of the video -- no kidding. This is one of those times, by the way, that I recommend that our readers here DO NOT go watch the videos out of curiosity. The Church teaches that we must guard our senses in order to protect ourselves from confusion and from the devil's attempts to manipulate what we put into our brains against us. Curiosity kills the cat. Since you have gotten to close to the flame here, you have been burnt. Thus, the confusion has set in. The solution is to move away not only from this cult but from all false philosophies and other religious ideas. Instead involve yourself deeply in prayer, bible study, the Sacraments, and the Church. Immerse yourself in the Truth. Read the Catechism. This experience has left you with some dirt on your soul, sort-to-speak. What do we do when we get our bodies dirty even a little bit? We immerse ourselves in soap and water. That is what is needed here. To immerse yourself in the soap and water for your mind and soul which is found in the Sacraments, the Church, and the Bible, devotions, and prayer. As you pray, study, and devote yourself to Christian ideas the confusion should go away. Depending on the level of your confusion it could dissipate in a day or in a few weeks or longer, but no matter how long it takes don't give up but persevere in the faith, in the study, and in the Sacraments until the confusion does go away.
