Question:

I was wondering about when you may be open for consultation again.

Question Answered by Bro. Ignatius Mary, OLSM

Dear Tom:

Our consultation schedule is limited by the number of volunteer counselors on staff and their availability in time. Right now we have only two counselors, myself and Joe Meineke. We do have some people in training, but they are not yet ready to begin counseling with clients. Thus, consultations are on a first come, first serve basis until the schedule is full. We then must close the Help Request form until there is some light at the end of our scheduling tunnel.

Counseling takes a minimum of 2 - 2 1/2 months per client. We do have clients who do not show up, or who drop out, so a scheduling slot can open up early. We do occasionaly open the Help Request even if our schedule is full so that a few people may be placed on a waiting list.

An additional note: I personally do not accept new clients from April 15th to October 1st. Joe Meineke, the associate director of SPCDC, does accept clients year round.

I think Joe may have some availability in a few weeks. I will discuss this with him and see if we can open the HELP REQUEST form at least to make a waiting list available to people. Keep in mind that anyone on a waiting list could have to wait for a couple of months, but at least they will be on the list for the next available scheduling slot.

In the meantime we encourage people to avail themselves of the Spiritual Warfare Prayer Catalog and also the Seven Steps to Self-Deliverance both linked below, and to be patient.

God Bless,
Bro. Ignatius Mary

For information on how to receive help see our Help page. We suggest that before contacting us directly for help you try the Seven Steps to Self-Deliverance. These self-help steps will often resolve the problem. Also our Spiritual Warfare Prayer Catalog contains many prayers that may be helpful. If needed you can ask for a Personal Consultation.
