Dear Claire:

Any MALE priest who has been ordained by a valid Bishop has valid Holy Orders, even if he is an idiot, a heretic, a wacko, a member of a schismatic or wacko group, or some other nimrod.

Valid ordination depends upon a valid Bishop doing the ordaining. Unfortunately there are valid Catholic Bishops who have left the Church for other pastures taking with them the power to ordain and to consecrate other bishops (illegally, but validly).

This ridiculous "off-shoot", the so-called "Catholic" (sic) Apostolic Church of Antioch, is among the stupidest I have read about. If this group has a valid bishop, albeit a schismatic bishop, ordaining its priests, then the priest are valid (Male priests that is).

No female, however, can be validly ordained no matter who "ordains" them. Even if the Pope ordained a women it would not be valid and the woman would not be a priestess.

Any women who is "ordained" is actually not ordained and they do not confect the Eucharist or any sacrament. People going to a Mass of a female priestess are only eating a cracker, nothing more, their confessions are not absolved, their last rites are not valid. Female priestesses have no priestly power whatsoever. They are nothing but lay women playing priest.

This "offshoot" is an abomination before the Lord.
