Question Title Posted By Question Date
synonym for pro-life Will Saturday, November 24, 2007

Question:

A friend is writing an article for Knights of Columbus and
needs a synonym for pro-life. That word in itself is excellent, but the repetiviness may lose its meaning.

Thanks for any one word or short phrase.

Question Answered by Bro. Ignatius Mary, OLSM

Dear Will:

I do not really know what to suggest especially since this will depend on the context of the sentence. Perhaps "culture of life", "life affirming", "gospel of life", "dignity of man", "respect for life", respect for the human person", "integrity of the embryo and the human fetus", "right to life".

At the moment that is all I can think of. I am in the middle of unpacking -- just moved into a new house and am unpacking. Mind is cluttered right now.

God Bless,
Bro. Ignatius Mary
